What is the Magnetic Sensor?

The Magnetic Sensor is a device that converts the changes of magnetic properties of sensitive elements caused by external factors such as magnetic field, current, stress and strain, temperature and light into electrical signals, and detects the corresponding physical quantities in this way. Magnetic Sensors are widely used in modern industry and electronic products to measure physical parameters such as current, position, direction and so on. In the prior art, there are many different types of sensors for measuring magnetic fields and other parameters.

Here is the outline:

Principle of Magnetic Sensor

Advantages of Magnetic Sensor

Market of Magnetic Sensor

Principle of Magnetic Sensor

The working principle of the Magnetic Sensor is that when the magnetic probe works, a static magnetic field is formed around it. When objects made of ferromagnetic metal, such as rifles and vehicles, enter the static magnetic field, a new magnetic field will be induced and generated. The interference caused by the movement change of the target will change the magnetic field, cause the deflection and swing of the magnetometer pointer, and generate an electrical signal, So as to realize the detection of people and vehicles carrying weapons.

Advantages of Magnetic Sensor

1. High sensitivity. The intensity of the detected signal is getting weaker and weaker, which requires the sensitivity of the magnetic sensor to be greatly improved. Applications include current sensor, angle sensor, gear sensor and space environment measurement.

2. Temperature stability. More and more application fields require the working environment of the sensor to be more and more severe, which requires that the magnetic sensor must have good temperature stability, including the automotive electronics industry.

3. Anti-interference. In many fields, the use environment of the sensor does not have any shielding, so the sensor itself is required to have good anti-interference. Including automotive electronics, water meters and so on.

4. Miniaturization, integration and intelligence. To meet the above requirements, it requires chip-level integration, module-level integration and product-level integration.

5. High-frequency characteristics. With the popularization of application fields, the working frequency of sensors is required to be higher and higher. The application fields include water meter, automotive electronics industry and information recording industry.

6. Low power consumption. Many fields require that the power consumption of the sensor itself is very low, which can prolong the service life of the sensor. It is used in magnetic biochip implanted into the body, compass and so on.

Market of Magnetic Sensor

Magnetic sensors are widely used. They have played an important role in the national economy, national defense construction, science and technology, medical and health and other fields. They have become a main branch of modern sensor industry. They are playing a more and more important role in the application and transformation of traditional industries, resource exploration and comprehensive utilization, environmental protection, bioengineering, intelligent traffic control and so on.

Finally, after understanding the principle, advantages and market development of such products, you will find that Magnetic Sensors are very important and widely used in all markets.
