Infineon Trials Archetype AI's New AI Developer Model To Enhance Innovation in AI Sensor Solutions

Munich, Germany, November 13, 2023 Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY), a global leader in semiconductors for power systems and the Internet of Things, and Archetype AI, a pioneer in AI in the physical world, today announced that they have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to accelerate the development of AI-enabled sensor chips that make people's lives easier, safer and greener.

Archetype AI, headquartered in Silicon Valley, is a cutting-edge AI company focused on developing physical AI foundation models. Physical AI is a new type of artificial intelligence capable of perceiving, understanding, and reasoning about the world around it. Infineon will trial the "Large Behavior Model" (LBM) developed by Archetype AI, which reveals behavioral patterns hidden in unstructured sensor data and combines real-time sensor data with natural language to create a real-time view of the world for analysis of complex sensor-based data.

Under the multi-year agreement, Infineon will be the first company to use the LBM AI developer platform to generate AI agents that can automatically create code for customer-specific sensor use cases to run on customer devices as edge models. Infineon's sensors built on the LBM platform enable devices such as TVs, smart speakers and smart home appliances to sense the people and the world around them. These devices can automatically wake up and display information at the right time without interruption. In addition, users can control the device with gestures, and the device can be turned on or off depending on the person's surroundings, reducing energy consumption and promoting low-carbon emissions.
